WHAT IS CLOSED-CELL EVA FOAM?

For the chemists in the room, EVA is short for ethylene-vinyl acetate. Closed cell simply means that the cells of product are compressed together and tightly connected to one another. The result is a more dense foam that allows water to simply roll off versus absorbing or passing through the foam. This structure allows the product to be inherently water resistant, stain resistant, UV resistant, durable, provides temperature disbursement, sound dampening, and comfortable under foot!

STAIN RESISTANCE AND CLEANING

Tiki Armor™ products are produced with the finest EVA foam available and is resistant to most stains and oils. Our product can be cleaned with most dish detergents, we suggest using 1-2 Tablespoons of Dawn Dish Soap to 1 gallon of water. Simply mix the solution and use a stiff brush to agitate the solution on the foam. Simply rinse with clean water when done. For extremely stained surfaces, this process may require repeated treatment or the use of mild degreasers that are non-acid based. Always test a small area before using any other product than dish soap and be sure to check local, state, and federal guidelines for use of these products. For the best results, be sure to clean spills as soon as possible.
HOW DO I APPLY THE PRODUCT?​

Tiki Armor™ arrives with a semi-permanent PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) applied to the back of the product. Before applying your product, the surface should be cleaned with either an acetone or 99% isopropyl alcohol solution and a clean rag. This process will remove any unwanted chemicals, dirt, residues, or release agents. Allow surface to fully dry before applying Tiki Armor™. By following these steps, you can ensure that your product will have the greatest adhesion.

DOES TIKI ARMOR™ GET HOT?
​
Besides being one of the hottest products in the market, our product offers excellent heat disbursement characteristics. While certain colors will get warmer than others, closed cell EVA foams offer excellent heat disbursement, keeping your feet cooler than having nothing at all! Save the hot stepping for the dance floor!
